Legislative Finance Committee is in Las Cruces
The state Legislative Finance Committe is meeting in southern New Mexico this week. On Wednesday, August 20, the meeting will be at the Convention Center in Las Cruces at one o’clock in the afternoon. Public comment will be accepted but may not start until after 4:30 p. m. We are not sure on the time for public comment.
Please consider offering comment on two items:
- Support funding for an Office of Peacebuilding at the state level and provide young people and incarcerated folk with conflict resolution skills to reduce violence.
- Ask them to require a water consumption analysis before considering any support for a resource-draining digital data centre in Santa Teresa.
